Current status

About this recession... We are such a dramatic nation!!! If people stepped back and had some perspective, then maybe we would all freak out every other hour. The media is the worst!!!! I swear from the way some people talk, we should all just hide in our bomb shelters because the end is near!!
We need to live our lives. By being bombarded with doom and gloom it becomes obsessive. Yes it is a bad bad time, yes we need to make better decisions. But we also need to have hope and live, enjoying the little things in life. Watch a child, all they need is a balloon on a string or some bubbles. Simple things in such a complex world.maybe this recession will help people to realize that material things aren't that grand, and learn to live more simply.

Anthony doesn't get that we can't spend like crazy anymore, which in turn drives me crazy.

I have found a new obsession, couponing. Today I got b bags of sugar, 2 packs of juice boxes, 2 packs of Hunts Snack Packs, 2 boxes of popcorn, 2 frostings, 2 cake mixes, 10 ramen noodle packs, 2 bags of egg noodles, cherrios, cookie crisp, 12 double roll toilet paper 2 cartons of lemonade, texas toast and 10 lbs of chicken for 35$!!! woohoo!

Christmas is coming!!

I am so excited I am a Christmas freak!! The girls gifts are done, I left the stockings up to daddy, so that I am a little surprised. Speaking of Ant, he got a catering job that pays well, so hopefully that will help bring some money in as well as pay down some credit debt. I just figured it out...yikes!!!! Mia is still excelling at school, it was funny they had a vote in school and she voted for McCain, who knew I would raise a republican LOL. Anyway she got sooo upset when he didn't win, it was comical. Tears and all!!

This week i feel more on top of things, domestically wise. Either I need to really not work or we need to scrounge for a cleaning lady again, I keep falling behind with the house and it skeeves me. to everyone else it's fine but I have issues. All in good time.
Lily is not walking yet, but gets into enough trouble crawling and pulling up so I am ok with it!

So lets see 3 weeks till Thanksgiving, 7 weeks till Christmas, 10 weeks till Disney!! So exciting!

Mia's school principal just called me. Apparently her sperm donor father jsut called the school and demanded to be put onto her emergency list and requested copies of progress reports etc. Good fine and great but asking me firat would have been a good idea. He can't call Mia to find out how school is going but he can call the school and try and act like I am witholding stuff??? First of all he lives 30-45 mins away so in an emergency why would I wait that long??? he only emails me once a month to schedule a weekend with her, if he actually grew some balls and called me I would gladly tell him how she is doing. How dare he try to act like he is this great father when half the time he can't be bothered. He just wants to part time parent which to me isn't worth the effort. If you want to get involved, then you take off work to pick her up on half days and you be room parent and you volunteer at book fairs parties etc. Oh no that would inconvience him, God forbid. Sorry this is so long I am so mad!!!!!!

Back to Blog

After the confusion of last week, I am back LOL!!!! We had a crazy weekend, went to a wedding in Rhode Island, which was fun considering we were around the inlaws all weekend. Let me rephrase, i was fine, DH had enough by the the second day. I brought the baby I watch to my house today, which is such a nice change of pace. I am able to do things and not feel like a sloth like I do at their house, because all I do there is sit on the couch. Here I can at least do laundry and tidy. Now if I an just get the mom to agree to me bringing him here on a regular basis...
